Kolkata to house country's first seafood processing zone
India's first integrated seafood processing zone was recently inaugurated in Kolkata. With 10 processing units to start off, the zone features collection centre for marine goods and a processing and packing facility to ship finished products. This five hectare stretch situated in east Kolkata (close to the airport), is likely to be added by another three hectares of land to accommodate more processing units.
