important international trade fair
for bakers and confectioners
The baking and confectionery sector
has a significant standing in the food
processing industry worldwide. iba
2006, a mega event dedicated to this sector
will highlight the sector's contribution and
open further opportunities for trade and
knowledge exchange. Considered as the most
important trade meet for the baking sector,
iba 2006 will take place in Munich, Germany
from October 3-9, 2006. The event offers a
future-oriented range of features, special
exhibitions and supplementary programmes,
which indicate the trends for the coming
years. This time, it is expected to attract
about 1,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries.
This would include participation from
associated sectors like cooking, large-scale
catering organisations and retailers as well.
More than 70,000 trade visitors and decisionmakers

The site and facilities of the New Munich
Trade Fair Centre are among the most stateof-

trade fair halls up to state-of-the-art standards
(16 of which are column-free), 180,000 sq m
