The company's anti-oxidant division has achieved a growth rate of 15 per cent over the last financial year, which compares favourably with the market growth rate of approximately 11 per cent for the
same period.
Vivimed Labs was awarded the 'The 2005 Frost & Sullivan Product Line Strategy Award' for demonstrating insight into customer needs and product demands. Vivimed Labs has been one of the few Indian manufacturers to identify the need for alternatives preservatives to parabens and launch a new product, chlorphenesin, to cater to this need. Its brand COSVAT has been designed to meet the high-purity, low-residue requirements of the personal-care industry. In food-grade anti-oxidants, Vivimed has attempted to capitalise on the opportunity for alternatives to phenols by launching nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA). Vivimed has applied for a process patent for the manufacture of this molecule.
