VLCC launches ALIVE health-food restaurant in Gurgaon
VLCC, the biggest name in wellness in India, today launched ALIVE - India's first healthy food restaurant in Gurgaon. ALIVE will offer healthy, tasty food that is low in calories and sugars. The menus will include fresh organic salads, delectable Indian and continental cuisine, pastas, risottos and scrumptious deserts. ALIVE will also feature a health bar, cereals, oven-fresh breads, confectionary items and much more.
ALIVE is expected to transform the concept of healthy eating. "Eating healthy does not mean eating boring, tasteless food. It means eating and cooking smart," says Vandana Luthra, Chairperson, VLCC. "And that is exactly what ALIVE offers- smart food prepared with low-calorie or healthier options to 'heavy' products like cream, fats and sugars. We at VLCC have conducted years of nutritional research to provide tasty, yet healthy recipes to our customers. We realised that the Indian urbanite is becoming increasingly health conscious but does not have the time nor the options to ensure healthy, good quality food as part of routine eating out. This insight has prompted us to enter the all-new domain of providing healthy smart food options in an affordable and easy-to-reach format. We believe that ALIVE will be a great success," she added.
ALIVE offers a computerised calorie kiosk to give various options from the menu, based on the calories they want to consume, along with the recommended menu items. Present at the quiet afternoon lunch that marked the launch were actor Shabana Azmi and former cricketer Kapil Dev.
