Food Bazaar is serving up an innovative new year’s gift to

your pockets! In a recent development, Food
Bazaar, the country's leading chain of stores
for the homemaker and leaders of the Rice
industry like Satnam Overseas (Kohinoor), LT
Overseas (Daawat), KRBL (Doon) and
United Riceland Ltd (Resham) in the country
met up to announce a strategic tie up and
sourcing agreement with the sole intention of
providing rice to consumers at the best and
lowest price. An immediate outcome is that
the price decrease of rice of over 20 per cent
(resulted due to good harvest this year) has
been passed on to the consumers at all the 35
Food Bazaar outlets across the country.
The alliance of Food Bazaar and the
leading brands like Kohinoor, Daawat, Doon
and Resham is unique amongst the rice
producers and a food retailer, as the
consumers can now look forward to benefits
such as better product and quality of rice at a
lower price together with the availability of
various types of rice at the Food Bazaar
outlets. Besides this, Food Bazaar has also
unveiled a unique Rice Utsav (festival) at its
stores that will display over 70 varieties of rice
for the consumers. The Rice Utsav aims to
inform and educate
consumers about various
types and varieties of rice
available in the country.
This festival is being held
at Food Bazaar, Lower
Parel and will travel across
the country. Speaking on
the occasion, Damodar
Mall, President, Food

the key spokespersons were Bhushan Arora,
Satnam Overseas (Kohinoor), Manoj Setia,
LT Overseas (Daawat), Ramesh Rambhia,
KRBL (Doon) and RK Gambhir, United
Riceland Ltd (Resham). The above leaders
have been in the forefront of the rice
industry both in the Indian and export
markets and have promised their continuous
efforts along with Food Bazaar to make rice
more affordable.
