PFFCA packaging awards in Mumbai
When it comes to the processing of
food and beverages, the buzzwords
are consumer protection, food
hygiene, traceability and competitive pricing.
Today, the demand is greater then ever for
innovative, flexible solutions that go beyond
sector and technological boundaries. In this
dynamic trade scenario, Anuga FoodTec - the
international trade fair for food and drink
technology scheduled for the fourth time in
Cologne from April 4-7, 2006, holds special
significance. The fourth Anuga FoodTec,
spread over an area of one lakh sq m, will be
the world's only trade fair whose cross-sector
concepts would cover all aspects of
processing, packaging, hygiene, storage and
distribution as they relate to food production.
Jointly organised by Koelnmesse GmbH and
the German Agricultural Society (DLG),
Anuga FoodTec 2006 promises to be the
ultimate business platform for making
investments in the food and drink industry
and for accessing latest technological
innovations in this sector.
Past performance
The true value of Anuga FoodTec 2006 can

that, between April 8-11, 2003, the fair
attracted 34,533 trade visitors from 134
countries, as compared to only 111 countries
in 2000. In 2003, the proportion of visitors
from abroad also rose to 54 per cent. The
2003 edition of the fair further saw an
increase in the number of exhibitors. Of the
1,115 exhibiting companies from 44 countries
(in 2000: 1,053 companies from
37 countries),
47 per cent came from abroad.
New target markets
If you plan to target new markets, Anuga
FoodTec 2006 is something to look forward
