The six layers in an aseptic packageThe Flow: From the Cow to the Table

The flow diagram above explains the process of producing an aseptic TFA product at the dairy. The raw chilled milk is first standardised and pasteurised. The sterilisation and packing process are simultaneous and continuous with the UHT milk being packed immediately after the sterilisation. The product is then packed manually into plastic crates and held at ambient temperatures in incumbation – for complete product safety – for a period of 5-7 days. The packages are then re-packed into secondary cartons in case of carton distribution and then dispatched from the dairy.
