Times Food Processing Journal highlights OXYBABYŽ, a
hi-tech gas measuring device for food packaging
Saving money is important to every
company across all operations - even in
the area of quality control. Being
responsive to this business need, Witt, the
Germany based gas technology specialist, has
introduced a new low cost version of the
OXYBABYŽ V hand held gas measuring
system for modified atmosphere food
packaging (MAP) analysis.
The new fully automatic OXYBABYŽ M
has been introduced to meet a demand from
those food packaging companies who do not
require the facilities to record measured
results and export the data via an interface to
a computer or printer, which is a standard
feature of the OXYBABYŽ V.
OXYBABYŽ M is designed to
measure the O2 and CO2 content
of the smallest food packages such
as salami, cheese slices and snacks
as well as other food packaging,
including poultry and salads.
Running on a re-chargeable
battery, OXYBABYŽ M measures
the O2 and CO2 concentration
with a measurement range from
0-100 per cent in increments of 0.1
per cent, whilst using a minimal
amount of sample gas to obtain a
reading. All measurements are
clearly displayed digitally after a
sample time of 15 seconds.
Moreover, to enhance
convenience in
usage, all
menus are
multilingual.
