11th International Trade Fair For Food
Industry, Drinks, Food Processing
Technology and Packing International Food
Competition - will sizzle once again in the
Kipsala International Exhibition Centre, Riga,
Latvia from September 6-9, 2006.
Riga Food is a place where food industry
professionals from European Union and other
countries meet every year, to promote their
businesses and learn about the latest
developments in food and beverages production
and processing. The event familiarises attendees
with the latest technologies, packaging solutions,
solutions from stores and public catering
enterprises and hotel equipment and services,
besides encouraging them to participate in the
sector business forum and competitions held for
international food industry professionals.
Widely recognised as the biggest annual
meeting point of the food industry, Riga Food is
the place where sector professionals and
business people, heads of foreign trade and
economic missions, representatives and experts
from various sectors and state and local
government officials and delegations from the
Baltics, CIS, Europe and other countries meet.
The event has all that it takes to make
successful business contacts and realise one's
business plans. Further, to maximise the
chances for successful contacts for every
participant and visitor, the displays in the show
are divided into the following thematic zones:
• Riga Food
This zone is dedicated to general food
products such as meat, milk, fish, bread,
confectionery, frozen food, fresh food, fruits,
vegetables, processed food and technologies.
• Riga Food Drinks - a new section
This year, the organisers are launching a
new exhibition segment - 'Riga Food Drinks'
that thematically includes strong and soft
drinks, beer, wine, coffee and tea. It is
expected that in this section, international
wine and beer competitions will be
held and will be judged by a jury of
international experts.
• Riga Food Packing Tech
This zone caters to packaging, packaging
equipment, packaging materials, equipment
and raw materials for production and other
related sectors.
• Riga Food Technology and Ingredients
Food and drinks processing and production
equipment, ingredients, spices and additives
makers or users would find interest in
this segment.
• Riga Food Catering and Retail Tech
For those dealing in equipment and facilities
for public catering and retail, this zone would
prove to be an excellent meeting point.
