Capitalising on food

Global Food Tech 2005 promises to be a showcase for the processed food sector, where new innovations would be discussed in light of how to capitalise on them

The Global Food Tech 2005 event offers a significant trade platform for dynamic and optimistic national and international participants. The event will be held between January 20-23, 2005 in Mumbai. With a view to give greater thrust seven simultaneous sector specific shows have been organised to give specific attention to related segments. The food processing industry in India is one of the largest in terms of production, consumption, export and growth prospects. The government has accorded it a high priority, with a number of fiscal reliefs and incentives to encourage value addition and commercialisation to agricultural produce. The seven concurrent shows are discussed in detail below.

Dairy India
It offers opportunities galore to entrepreneurs worldwide, who wish to capitalise on one of the world’s largest and fastest growing markets for milk and milk products. Dairy India is an attempt to bring together these opportunities under one roof.

Drinks India
Drinks India is an attempt to bring all kinds of beverages such as soft drinks, fruit drinks and the bottled water segments besides alcoholic beverages and related technology under one banner.

Food India
With the trend of increasing consumption of processed foods, the market for processed food is growing significantly and it is expected that the food industry should grow rapidly.

Food Tech India
The event will provide a forum for the entire food industry spectrum featuring every segment of food, highlighting innovations and excellence in food technology.

Hospitality India
IT has given major boost to this sector because of its application in both front office operations and back office. The exhibition will provide the latest in-depth analysis of challenges and opportunities in this sector besides presenting case studies and solutions to key problems faced by the industry.

Packaging India
The packaging industry has recorded a 15 per cent growth rate in the country and is poised to continue the healthy growth. The ancillary packaging segment is also progressing in line with the industry trend, by developing a variety of closure types, materials and systems. Packaging India will provide an overview.

Bakery and Confectionary India
The bakery industry in India is probably the largest among the processed food industries, the growth of which has been increasing steadily in the country.
The Global Food Tech Summit will offer an excellent opportunity for disseminating, sharing and exchanging the latest information pertaining to the food industry and provide various case studies of critical area of industry, which will help participants.
